Angel Avellaneda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Ongile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Celedonio Baraquiel fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Tunel A.C's protests and gave Celedonio Baraquiel a yellow card for diving instead. If Carmelo Llope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Freddy Oro fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aluminé AFC's protests and gave Freddy Oro a yellow card for diving instead. Freddy Oro hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Jimeno Ederono charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimeno Ederono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Jimeno Ederono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jimeno Ederono in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Asteri saved El Tunel A.C from getting behind. A collision led to Aluminé AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Eugenio Totakoxe hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Nemesio Quico sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angel Avellaneda skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Jimeno Ederono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aluminé AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimeno Ederono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Asteri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, El Tunel A.C's Celedonio Baraquiel got a free kick in the 47th minute. Jimeno Ederono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimeno Ederono to make the kick off. When Santo Canor fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Tunel A.C's protests and gave Santo Canor a yellow card for diving instead. Santo Canor hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Aluminé AFC's Jimeno Ederono got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jimeno Ederono's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonides Asteri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Jimeno Ederono ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Asteri was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0.
