Newels old boys's Humberto Froila suffered a sore thigh after 68 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Zeledon Ermano fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Bernardino Tino hit a great ball. Romeu da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erubiel Abella struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Celedonio Ramond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newels old boys. The supporters of Newels old boys booed when sgs team FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Quinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
