With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Ongile in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atilano Herauso saved Instituto Atle.Ctral.Cba. from getting behind. The supporters of Instituto Atle.Ctral.Cba. booed when El Tunel A.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Erramun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Instituto Atle.Ctral.Cba.'s Hugo Garoa tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Leonides Asteri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anier Mon's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 40 minutes into the match, El Tunel A.C's goalkeeper Leonides Asteri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florencio Furtado. Florencio Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Leonides Asteri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute Anier Mon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

54 minutes into the match, El Tunel A.C's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Mon came free, but Leonides Asteri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulino Gitano's late challenge caught a El Tunel A.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Gitano helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Instituto Atle.Ctral.Cba. got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Gitano. Leonides Asteri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute of the match Hugo Garoa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonides Asteri skillfully saved the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Instituto Atle.Ctral.Cba.'s goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Ongile came free, but Atilano Herauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Errapel got free with Atilano Herauso in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Erasmo Ongile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Instituto Atle.Ctral.Cba.'s Atilano Herauso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Instituto Atle.Ctral.Cba. from getting a goal against them.
