Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erasmo Ongile to make the kick off. With a little luck, El Tunel A.C's Leonides Asteri got control of the ball when Jorge Dubardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 56 minutes on the clock, Epifanio Xacintu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 55th minute, one of Frontera:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Frontera. In the 66th minute Erasmo Ongile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Gizon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicanor Gizon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Ongile in the 90th minute of the match. Erasmo Ongile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Ongile in the 95th minute of play forced Frontera's goalkeeper Nicanor Gizon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frontera's Nicanor Gizon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Ongile in the 99th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El Tunel A.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Frontera had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
