In the 26th minute Humberto Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Avellaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Froila in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Angel Avellaneda, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Romeu da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Avellaneda having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Aluminé AFC's zone, Humberto Froila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Avellaneda came out of the goal and Humberto Froila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Froila was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Aluminé AFC's Florentino Vitin got a free kick in the 51st minute. Erubiel Abella kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Newels old boys's Basilio Lorien proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Newels old boys from getting a goal against them. Basilio Lorien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Ederono in the 58th minute of the match. Basilio Lorien acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Esteve Sarracino. With a little luck, Newels old boys's Basilio Lorien got control of the ball when Carmelo Llope tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Cebrian during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
