The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Instituto Atle.Ctral.Cba.. The referee gave Newels old boys a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florencio Furtado to make the kick off. Humberto Froila struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. When Inocencio Cordero fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Instituto Atle.Ctral.Cba.'s protests and gave Inocencio Cordero a yellow card for diving instead. Humberto Froila had several of the Instituto Atle.Ctral.Cba.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Atilano Herauso as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Emilio Roldanillo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Florencio Furtado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basilio Lorien having to make a save.
