Jeronimo Padro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Eneto in the 8th minute of play. Desiderio Errapel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12thth minute of the game Julio Eleder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rodo FC's Vinicio Cordero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute of the match Cipriano Amato shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinicio Cordero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Serafino Eneto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustacio Rudolfo got free with Vinicio Cordero in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vinicio Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Eleder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes Rodo FC got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Evis. When Bruno Prejun fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rodo FC's protests and gave Bruno Prejun a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, one of Rodo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rodo FC. 28 minutes into the match, Rodo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Eleder came free, but Vinicio Cordero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Julio Eleder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Epifanio Dubardo charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Epifanio Dubardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute, Epifanio Dubardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Serafino Eneto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeronimo Padro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Isidro Etor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafino Eneto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Rodo FC's Vicente Oroitz got a free kick in the 46th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Eleder in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Cordero saved Rodo FC from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Serafino Eneto made the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Rodo FC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Abreu. In the 59th minute, Vicente Oroitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Eleder in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Cordero saved Rodo FC from getting behind. 66 minutes into the match, Serafino Eneto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jeronimo Padro, 1-1. Serafino Eneto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jeronimo Padro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Eleder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vinicio Cordero having to make a save. Vinicio Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Errapel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Epifanio Dubardo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Eustacio Rudolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Cordero having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Omar Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Desiderio Errapel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Pipita Higuain lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
