After 20 played minutes AVE FENIX got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Beila. Eusebio Honrio came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fidel Palos could save by the left post. Fidel Palos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Cugat in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, AVE FENIX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Lehen to maneuver through the defense. The referee ignored AVE FENIX's protests and gave Bernabe Bastiaro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tulumba booed when AVE FENIX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Bastiaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Cugat in the 44th minute of play forced AVE FENIX's goalkeeper Fidel Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gogo Cugat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusebio Honrio got free with Fidel Palos in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gogo Cugat to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnoldo Ralondo had great luck who in the 76thth minute grab hold of the ball when Eliseo Ihintza from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After a rather tough play, Tulumba's Orlando Ireno got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Patricio Hermelando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Arnoldo Ralondo made a huge save.
