st´ Summer Overture
Spectators: 6687 (Terracing: 5001, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paolo Gartzi started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Gogo Machado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edelmiro Oliviero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Gogo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 minutes, Gogo Machado made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. instituto LCA's Edelmiro Oliviero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 20 minutes of play, Alumni's Gogo Machado made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edelmiro Oliviero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victorino Gutxi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Gartzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Gogo Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edelmiro Oliviero. instituto LCA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gogo Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The supporters of instituto LCA booed when Alumni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Hug didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Eleuterio Avellaneda put in a rough tackle. The audience was convinced that Gogo Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edelmiro Oliviero was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in instituto LCA's zone, Gogo Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Oliviero came out of the goal and Gogo Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, instituto LCA's Gregorio Kepa got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yaad Yu to make the kick off. Gogo Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edelmiro Oliviero having to make a save. Yaad Yu scored 0-5 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edelmiro Oliviero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. instituto LCA's Edelmiro Oliviero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save instituto LCA from getting a goal against them. Gogo Machado struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Edelmiro Oliviero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alumni. The audience was convinced that Gogo Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edelmiro Oliviero was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. A collision led to instituto LCA getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Valentin Dorio hit a great ball. Yaad Yu in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edelmiro Oliviero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edelmiro Oliviero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Machado in the 80th minute of the match. Pascual Betadur charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascual Betadur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes instituto LCA got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Betadur. Gogo Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edelmiro Oliviero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yaad Yu in the 89th minute. When Yaad Yu came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Alumni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yaad Yu couldn't finish the play. If Gogo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Yaad Yu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alumni played a much better game than instituto LCA and deserved their victory. The instituto LCA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
