The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simone Vergassola took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Guifre. Sergio Guifre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After having played for 12 minutes, Benjamin Mero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luzuriaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Mero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Mero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fabiano FC's goalkeeper Sergio Guifre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Luzuriaga FC's Tomás Ursino got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Isaio in the 23rd minute of play forced Luzuriaga FC's goalkeeper Pablo Txomin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Alvaro Mendez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pablo Txomin. Luzuriaga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvaro Mendez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Fabiano FC's Sergio Guifre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Ixidor in the 27th minute of play. Melchor Inguma hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The supporters of Luzuriaga FC booed when Fabiano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Tristan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Mero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Guifre having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Benjamin Mero rounded Fabiano FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. In the 47th minute, Melchor Inguma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pablo Txomin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Melchor Inguma made the kick off in the second half. Luzuriaga FC's Simone Vergassola got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eusebio Ixidor came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Luzuriaga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Ixidor couldn't finish the play. After having played for 56 minutes, Simone Vergassola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luzuriaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simone Vergassola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Luzuriaga FC's Tomás Ursino got a free kick in the 60th minute. Benjamin Mero struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Sergio Guifre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luzuriaga FC. Benjamin Mero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Luzuriaga FC's Benjamin Mero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergio Guifre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Tomás Ursino hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Luzuriaga FC's Candido Vitin suffered a sore thigh after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Luzuriaga FC made a substitution. Cayetano Txurio replaced Candido Vitin. The supporters of Luzuriaga FC booed when Fabiano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Inguma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Marko hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 84thth minute of the game Tomás Ursino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fabiano FC's Sergio Guifre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luzuriaga FC's Simone Vergassola got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Benjamin Mero made a precise shot to the right of Sergio Guifre. Fabiano FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Simone Vergassola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sergio Guifre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Guifre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Ixidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Luzuriaga FC had played much better football throughout.
