Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patricio Hermelando in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edelmiro Oliviero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pascual Betadur hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Patricio Hermelando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fidel Palos was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Zacarias Cristofor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zacarias Cristofor really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The audience was convinced that Paolo Gartzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fidel Palos was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Eliseo Ihintza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Oliviero having to interfere. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseo Ihintza to make the kick off. instituto LCA's Valentin Dorio got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute Zacarias Cristofor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Palos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes AVE FENIX got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Beila. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Paolo Gartzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. instituto LCA's supporters rose to their feet, but Paolo Gartzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Palos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the match, Zacarias Cristofor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fidel Palos. AVE FENIX's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zacarias Cristofor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Dalmacio Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalmacio Barros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute, Dalmacio Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eleuterio Avellaneda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fidel Palos. AVE FENIX's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. AVE FENIX's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
