The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Urbano Geleberto hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Ranquile FC's Desiderio Osmundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Theobald in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Constantino Tolino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Desiderio Osmundo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Theobald might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Desiderio Osmundo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Theobald ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 38 minutes, Daniel Theobald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curapaligüé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Theobald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Fabricio Berenguer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curapaligüé's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ranquile FC the free kick. Fabricio Berenguer kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Constantino Tolino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Desiderio Osmundo. Ranquile FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantino Tolino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

Desiderio Osmundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Theobald in the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Curapaligüé's Constantino Tolino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Domingos Blasi charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingos Blasi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Curapaligüé getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Domingos Blasi hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Curapaligüé's Daniel Theobald sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Desiderio Osmundo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Theobald was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Curapaligüé's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Corderro in the 86th minute of play forced Curapaligüé's goalkeeper Lino Flores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Daniel Theobald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curapaligüé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Theobald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Theobald took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Desiderio Osmundo. Desiderio Osmundo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Curapaligüé played a much better game than Ranquile FC and deserved their victory. The Ranquile FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
