Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) Iruya's Isaac Udalaitz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eliseo Jeraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Mikelar in the 4th minute of the match. Marcos Rudolfo kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Isaac Udalaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ánimas's zone, Isaac Udalaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Pedroso came out of the goal and Isaac Udalaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efrain Mikelar struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Eliseo Jeraldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ánimas. Julian Oliverios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eliseo Jeraldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Jeraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Mikelar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Efrain Mikelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Jeraldo having to interfere. Ánimas's Guillermo Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Udalaitz in the 32nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Efrain Mikelar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ánimas's supporters rose to their feet, but Efrain Mikelar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseo Jeraldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliseo Jeraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Oliverios in the 37th minute of play. Efrain Mikelar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Julian Oliverios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Jeraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Mikelar, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Julian Oliverios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ánimas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Oliverios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efrain Mikelar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Iruya's goalkeeper Eliseo Jeraldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Oliverios. The audience was convinced that Efrain Mikelar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliseo Jeraldo was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. If Isaac Udalaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Mikelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Jeraldo having to interfere. In the 67th minute Efrain Mikelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Jeraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justino Bazkoare's late challenge caught a Ánimas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justino Bazkoare helped the player get up and apologised. Honorato Fidencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albino Restu hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Isaac Udalaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Oliverios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Eliseo Jeraldo made a huge save. When Ánimas's Efrain Mikelar in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Iruya's goalie prevented a goal. If Efrain Mikelar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Ánimas's Julian Oliverios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliseo Jeraldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Efrain Mikelar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
