Spectators: 7386 (Terracing: 5541, Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alejo Nalo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Palmitas's zone, Silvestre Jorrin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Hartz came out of the goal and Silvestre Jorrin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Saturnino Balendin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogelio Maju was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Alejo Nalo struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Filiberto Hartz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sunderland A.F.C.. 17 minutes into the match, Palmitas's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Jorrin came free, but Filiberto Hartz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Palmitas fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Palmitas's Clemente Garci looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alejo Nalo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Filiberto Hartz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Silvestre Jorrin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Sunderland A.F.C.'s Silvestre Jorrin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The goalkeeper, Filiberto Hartz, was totally fooled by Sunderland A.F.C.'s Nemesio Rufio, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Saturnino Balendin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gogo Romero fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sunderland A.F.C.'s protests and gave Gogo Romero a yellow card for diving instead. Gogo Romero hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sunderland A.F.C. booed when Palmitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Santo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filiberto Hartz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nemesio Rufio. A collision led to Palmitas getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Benito Gorosti hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clemente Garci was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes Sunderland A.F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tiburcio Hunfredo who took care of the corner kick. After 56 played minutes Palmitas got a freekick which was hit by Dario Lohitzun. After 58 minutes, Benito Gorosti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmitas and the Sunderland A.F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benito Gorosti kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Filiberto Hartz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Nalo in the 62nd minute of play. Filiberto Hartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Nalo in the 63rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clemente Garci in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogelio Maju saved Sunderland A.F.C. from getting behind. In the 69th minute Silvestre Jorrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Palmitas's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Romero came free, but Filiberto Hartz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ceferino Santo kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Rogelio Maju was a little too slow when Clemente Garci got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 85th minute Alejo Nalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 85th minute of the match Ceferino Santo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ceferino Santo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ceferino Santo hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes, Sunderland A.F.C.'s Astor Clementi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Filiberto Hartz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sunderland A.F.C. reached it. When Sunderland A.F.C.'s Alejo Nalo in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmitas's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente Garci during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 93 played minutes Palmitas got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Garci. A collision led to Palmitas getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Saturnino Balendin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Jorrin in the 97th minute of play forced Palmitas's goalkeeper Filiberto Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sunderland A.F.C. were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Palmitas to leave the ground with a draw.
