Reynaldo Ferran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Benigno Ibar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Sayvion struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Haroldo Mitxel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceibas. A collision led to Ceibas getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jeremias Enetz hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes, los lagartos's Angel Marin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benigno Ibar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in los lagartos reached it. After a rather tough play, Ceibas's Eulalio Tab got a free kick in the 25th minute. Omar Damario charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Damario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abel Umea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. When Julian Porfirio fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored los lagartos's protests and gave Julian Porfirio a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes los lagartos got a freekick which was hit by Julian Porfirio. The supporters of los lagartos booed when Ceibas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Txanton didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Umea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Damario in the 53rd minute of play forced Ceibas's goalkeeper Benigno Ibar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ceibas's goalkeeper Benigno Ibar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeremias Enetz hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ceibas's zone, Omar Damario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benigno Ibar came out of the goal and Omar Damario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. los lagartos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
