Ovidio Corderro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Hartz having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Palmitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Lohitzun to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Ranquile FC were awarded a corner. Generoso Iliana went to the cornerflag to take it. Ranquile FC's Generoso Iliana was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Filiberto Hartz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 20 minutes into the match, Anier Ticho notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Palmitas's Filiberto Hartz. Filiberto Hartz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute, Ovidio Corderro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Desiderio Osmundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Balendin, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The audience was convinced that Saturnino Balendin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Desiderio Osmundo was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 31st minute Clemente Garci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Osmundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Saturnino Balendin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Corderro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desiderio Osmundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Balendin in the 38th minute of the match. Desiderio Osmundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Balendin in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Palmitas's Clemente Garci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Desiderio Osmundo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clemente Garci was the one to do the kick off. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palmitas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
