The referee ignored Colo sos de la B's protests and gave Santiago Ekain a yellow card for diving instead. Santiago Ekain hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute Isaac Udalaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Quirce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Isaac Udalaitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Quirce was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The referee showed Bruno Barea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 46 minutes into the game, one of Iruya:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Colo sos de la B a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amadeo Ekaitz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Iruya's Eliseo Jeraldo. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
