In the 10th minute of the match, Isaac Udalaitz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eugenio Mannuel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Honorato Fidencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute, La Consolata 2001's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Honorato Fidencio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. La Consolata 2001's Eugenio Mannuel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Udalaitz in the 16th minute of play. Marcelino Elia hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Honorato Fidencio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Eugenio Mannuel made a huge save. Isaac Udalaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Eugenio Mannuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaac Udalaitz in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugenio Mannuel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the game, Isaac Udalaitz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eugenio Mannuel. Isaac Udalaitz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Iruya's Eliseo Jeraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Elia in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match, Isaac Udalaitz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eugenio Mannuel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marcelino Elia kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Domingo Breogan hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Iruya's zone, Marcelino Elia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseo Jeraldo came out of the goal and Marcelino Elia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute Fermin Dolfos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Jeraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelino Elia got free with Eliseo Jeraldo in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justino Bazkoare during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Iruya fans cheered their team off the field, for while La Consolata 2001 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
