Ánimas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efrain Mikelar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santos Osasun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Mikelar, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Ánimas's Guillermo Pedroso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Ánimas from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute Niceto Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerardo Abalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Pedroso having to interfere. Santos Osasun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Mikelar in the 17th minute of the match. Julian Oliverios blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santos Osasun having to make a save. Efrain Mikelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Osasun having to interfere. Santos Osasun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Mikelar, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Julian Oliverios hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in LOS TOTOS's zone, Julian Oliverios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Osasun came out of the goal and Julian Oliverios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ánimas's Julian Oliverios got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute Julian Oliverios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Osasun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Efrain Mikelar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Oliverios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Santos Osasun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Osasun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Oliverios in the 44th minute of play. Gerardo Abalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Niceto Alonso made the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes, Ánimas's Aureliano Gelmiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santos Osasun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ánimas reached it. After 65 minutes of play, LOS TOTOS's Hilario Erlantz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guillermo Pedroso was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Julian Oliverios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 minutes LOS TOTOS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aureliano Gelmiro who took care of the corner kick. Santos Osasun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Efrain Mikelar's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. The supporters of Ánimas booed when LOS TOTOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Bernebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Oliverios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Santos Osasun made a huge save. When Ánimas's Efrain Mikelar in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
