Colo sos de la B's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave los lagartos the free kick. 24 minutes into the game, one of Colo sos de la B:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Haroldo Eztebe during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Colo sos de la B booed when los lagartos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Eztebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Ferran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Cornelio Quirce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Remigio Eder reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Haroldo Mitxel. The goal made the score 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

After having played for 53 minutes, Faustino Constancio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colo sos de la B's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustino Constancio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Faustino Constancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Remigio Eder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haroldo Mitxel. los lagartos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remigio Eder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Cornelio Quirce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Damario in the 64th minute of play. Reynaldo Ferran took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornelio Quirce. Cornelio Quirce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Elvio Bartuelo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. When Colo sos de la B's Faustino Constancio in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye los lagartos's goalie prevented a goal. Haroldo Mitxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Constancio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in los lagartos's zone, Remigio Eder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Mitxel came out of the goal and Remigio Eder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Faustino Constancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Remigio Eder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Haroldo Mitxel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Omar Damario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Quirce having to make a save. los lagartos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
