After a rather tough play, Mervaleta's Gavino Bermudez got a free kick in the 5th minute. A collision led to Somos Cantera -afterbirth getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Hilario Laurin hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Somos Cantera -afterbirth defense, Gavino Bermudez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justo Martxelin. The Somos Cantera -afterbirth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justo Martxelin should have stopped the shot. After having played for 10 minutes, Gavino Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mervaleta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavino Bermudez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Lehior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 14 minutes, Gavino Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mervaleta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavino Bermudez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Somos Cantera -afterbirth! When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Gavino Bermudez sped through Somos Cantera -afterbirth's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Justo Martxelin. After 27 played minutes Somos Cantera -afterbirth got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Santiago. Herminio Cordaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gavino Bermudez scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Justo Martxelin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Gavino Bermudez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justo Martxelin. Somos Cantera -afterbirth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gavino Bermudez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. If Gavino Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Bermudez hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Norberto Lehior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The supporters of Mervaleta booed when Somos Cantera -afterbirth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Laurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Poncio struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Valentin Chus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Somos Cantera -afterbirth. Herminio Cordaro charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herminio Cordaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Somos Cantera -afterbirth booed when Mervaleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herminio Cordaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Guillermo Gumaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gavino Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Justo Martxelin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-4 became the score in the 71st minute when Guillermo Gumaro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Mervaleta's Gavino Bermudez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Justo Martxelin. Justo Martxelin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Gavino Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Justo Martxelin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leo Tiadoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Martxelin having to interfere. Justo Martxelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Bermudez in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Somos Cantera -afterbirth's zone, Leo Tiadoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Martxelin came out of the goal and Leo Tiadoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Justo Martxelin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Bermudez, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Somos Cantera -afterbirth's Justo Martxelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Bermudez in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Somos Cantera -afterbirth's zone, Gavino Bermudez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Martxelin came out of the goal and Gavino Bermudez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentino Argi kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, Somos Cantera -afterbirth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Ur to maneuver through the defense. Mervaleta's Guido Aguilera got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norberto Lehior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Justo Martxelin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
