The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cesar Dino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Llorian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Llorian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Independiente FC's Jesus Harkaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesar Dino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Llorian in the 10th minute of play. If Jesus Harkaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Caballeros Del Sur's Cesar Dino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Jerrold in the 23rd minute of play. Eleuterio Dabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Jurgi in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st minute Casimiro Poz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Dabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Jurgi in the 33rd minute of play forced Independiente FC's goalkeeper Eleuterio Dabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Los Caballeros Del Sur's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Llorian came free, but Cesar Dino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Harkaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Casimiro Poz made a kick off. Eleuterio Dabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Poz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Llorian scored 1-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesar Dino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jesus Harkaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Dino having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alonzo Sotil during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 78 minutes into the match, Jesus Harkaitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesar Dino. Los Caballeros Del Sur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jesus Harkaitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
