Spectators: 7365 (Terracing: 5525, Seating: 1693, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Denis Urtungo started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as C. A. Boca Juniors's Armando Eder slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ariel Tano. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Denis Urtungo scored 2-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ariel Tano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armando Eder received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ariel Tano came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Eder slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 13th minute. The supporters of Cienega booed when C. A. Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Isias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Urtungo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Tano having to interfere. Ariel Tano was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Armando Eder capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Armando Eder really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Armando Eder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Tano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Eder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes of play, C. A. Boca Juniors's Denis Urtungo made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Tano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th match minute, Cienega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Llope to maneuver through the defense. Denis Urtungo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ariel Tano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victorino Toro was the one to do the kick off. Leslie Thebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Aznar, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Vinicio Isias kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Marco Oriche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leslie Thebe having to interfere. The supporters of Cienega booed when C. A. Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Isias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes Cienega got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Licerio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Urtungo in the 64th minute of play forced Cienega's goalkeeper Ariel Tano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Eder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ariel Tano having to make a save. The supporters of Cienega booed when C. A. Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Ursino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leslie Thebe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorino Toro's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After some careless play in the Cienega defense, Denis Urtungo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ariel Tano. The Cienega fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ariel Tano should have stopped the shot. C. A. Boca Juniors's Leslie Thebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Llope in the 80th minute of play. Leslie Thebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Aznar in the 81st minute of the match. Denis Urtungo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Cienega's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Urtungo came free, but Ariel Tano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Marco Oriche made a precise shot to the right of Leslie Thebe. C. A. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. A collision led to C. A. Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Lorenzo Ursino hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C. A. Boca Juniors fully deserved thier win.
