After 13 played minutes lanena got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Berenguer. After 16 minutes of play, Real Betis Balompié's Angel Elodio made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Delmar Pepillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute, Angel Elodio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delmar Pepillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 23 played minutes lanena got a freekick which was hit by Placido Liberto. In the 25th minute of the match Hipolito Beremundo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delmar Pepillo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Angel Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmar Pepillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Elodio in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Lucas Transito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delmar Pepillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Pacho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teobaldo Pacho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Pepillo having to interfere. Delmar Pepillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Pacho in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Pacho notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of lanena's Delmar Pepillo. Delmar Pepillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in lanena's zone, Angel Elodio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmar Pepillo came out of the goal and Angel Elodio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delmar Pepillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Pacho in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teobaldo Pacho to strike the kick off in the second half. Angel Elodio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Pepillo having to interfere. Angel Elodio took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Delmar Pepillo. Delmar Pepillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Nereo Bermund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Modesto Conrao, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Godofredo Dantel hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute lanena were awarded a corner. Placido Liberto went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led lanena's Placido Liberto to fire away a dangerous shot which Nereo Bermund despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Delmar Pepillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Pacho in the 70th minute of play. When Teobaldo Pacho, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 76 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Delmar Pepillo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Modesto Conrao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. lanena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Conrao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Danilo Arias sped through Real Betis Balompié's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nereo Bermund. Danilo Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delmar Pepillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angel Elodio in the 88th minute. lanena:s Delmar Pepillo showed great skill when he stopped Hipolito Beremundo:s penalty. Angel Elodio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Delmar Pepillo made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Betis Balompié walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
