HAMMER's Inocencio Theodore tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of HAMMER:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of C. A. Sangre y Barro:s goal. Wilfredo Pasqual walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Baladi in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inocencio Theodore saved HAMMER from getting behind. 18 minutes into the game, Ricardo Baladi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Inocencio Theodore was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eduardo Rumaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Fabian Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C. A. Sangre y Barro's Fabian Sal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Sangre y Barro from getting a goal against them. Cecilio Ibañez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Theodore having to interfere. Evelio Gabirel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cecilio Ibañez made a kick off. After having played for 58 minutes, Eduardo Rumaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HAMMER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Rumaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute, Cecilio Ibañez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabian Sal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Rumaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in HAMMER's zone, Ricardo Baladi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inocencio Theodore came out of the goal and Ricardo Baladi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute of the match HAMMER got a corner. C. A. Sangre y Barro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guillermo Flor ran over to the corner to take the kick. HAMMER's Guillermo Flor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabian Sal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 76 minutes into the game, HAMMER's Eduardo Rumaldo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabian Sal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 90th minute, Ricardo Baladi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Inocencio Theodore, passed just outside the right post. Inocencio Theodore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Ibañez in the 93rd minute of the match. Inocencio Theodore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Ibañez in the 97th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. C. A. Sangre y Barro walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
