Siro Iturri kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Teobaldo Pacho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Real Betis Balompié getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Godofredo Dantel hit a great ball. Fabian Sal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Pacho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 26 played minutes, Real Betis Balompié's Marcelino Txema shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabian Sal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Betis Balompié reached it. The audience was convinced that Teobaldo Pacho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabian Sal was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Nereo Bermund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Baladi in the 35th minute of the match. Nereo Bermund came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Sangre y Barro's Cecilio Ibañez. But to his dismay, Cecilio Ibañez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fabian Sal acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 42nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Urbano Calvino. Ubaldo Galtero hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Eugenio Loren fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Sangre y Barro's protests and gave Eugenio Loren a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in C. A. Sangre y Barro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Real Betis Balompié a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hipolito Beremundo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of C. A. Sangre y Barro's Fabian Sal. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teobaldo Pacho to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Pacho in the 55th minute of play forced C. A. Sangre y Barro's goalkeeper Fabian Sal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Sal came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Betis Balompié's Teobaldo Pacho. But to his dismay, Teobaldo Pacho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fabian Sal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Pacho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nereo Bermund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Ibañez, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 74 minutes into the match, C. A. Sangre y Barro's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Elodio came free, but Fabian Sal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabian Sal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Elodio in the 75th minute of play. Ricardo Baladi struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Nereo Bermund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Sangre y Barro. In the 78th minute, Wilfredo Pasqual hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Teobaldo Pacho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teobaldo Pacho in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Sal saved C. A. Sangre y Barro from getting behind. Angel Elodio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Sal having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Real Betis Balompié was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Txema to maneuver through the defense. When Wilfredo Pasqual came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the C. A. Sangre y Barro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Pasqual couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Angel Elodio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Betis Balompié's supporters rose to their feet, but Angel Elodio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Sal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Barea's late challenge caught a Real Betis Balompié's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Barea helped the player get up and apologised. After 97 played minutes C. A. Sangre y Barro got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Barea. Real Betis Balompié's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
