After a defensive mix-up in Real Betis Balompié's zone, Ciro Rolado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Bermund came out of the goal and Ciro Rolado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Estudiantes de Caseros's Ciro Rolado got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Angel Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Pacho in the 13th minute of play forced Estudiantes de Caseros's goalkeeper Cosme Leizarraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teobaldo Pacho in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosme Leizarraga saved Estudiantes de Caseros from getting behind. After 17 played minutes Estudiantes de Caseros got a freekick which was hit by Candido Frisco. Lucas Transito hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21stth minute of the game Norberto Domenec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Betis Balompié's Nereo Bermund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Estudiantes de Caseros's Cosme Leizarraga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Transito in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Estudiantes de Caseros booed when Real Betis Balompié was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Dantel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Nereo Bermund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Domenec, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Real Betis Balompié's Angel Elodio got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Teobaldo Pacho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Teobaldo Pacho took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Cosme Leizarraga to make any attempt to save it. Angel Elodio hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Angel Elodio notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Estudiantes de Caseros's Cosme Leizarraga. Cosme Leizarraga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th minute Ciro Rolado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Bermund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teobaldo Pacho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angel Elodio took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cosme Leizarraga. Cosme Leizarraga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 95th minute of the match, Teobaldo Pacho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cosme Leizarraga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Real Betis Balompié played a much better game than Estudiantes de Caseros and deserved their victory. The Estudiantes de Caseros players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
