Jesus Argi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Conrao in the 7th minute of the match. Fidel Harkaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Delmar Pepillo made a huge save. When Gilberto Giro fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored lanena's protests and gave Gilberto Giro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Atlético Boedo booed when lanena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Giro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Danilo Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. lanena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulises Odon hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Jesus Argi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Modesto Conrao, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jonas Bitxintxo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Modesto Conrao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jesus Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Club Atlético Boedo getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Nicasio Godoy hit a great ball. Jesus Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Conrao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, lanena's Modesto Conrao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jesus Argi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ricardo Dantae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fidel Harkaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Pepillo having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Club Atlético Boedo's Delmar Pepillo threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ricardo Dantae, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Danilo Arias made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Placido Liberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Ricardo Dantae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Pepillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Jesus Argi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Placido Liberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Jesus Argi made a huge save. Fidel Harkaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Pepillo having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Ricardo Dantae got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Dantae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes of play, lanena's Modesto Conrao made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jesus Argi was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. lanena had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
