Spectators: 7077 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) Pascual Acosta started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute Conrado Kismi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Guipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pascual Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urbano Eron in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Guipuzkoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pascual Acosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Modesto Pirmin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bosch FC's zone, Conrado Kismi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Guipuzkoa came out of the goal and Conrado Kismi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute Pascual Acosta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Pirmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Benigno Remigio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newell´s Old Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Benigno Remigio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Guipuzkoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Bosch FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nereo Lander hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Bosch FC defense, Conrado Kismi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Guipuzkoa. The Bosch FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Guipuzkoa should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeronimo Dacio during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Newell´s Old Boys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bosch FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Modesto Pirmin, was totally fooled by Bosch FC's Gervasio Maurino, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Newell´s Old Boys's Modesto Pirmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Acosta in the 34th minute of play. If Pascual Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacobo Oliviero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pascual Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Conrado Kismi made the kick off in the second half. Jacobo Oliviero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Pirmin having to interfere. Urbano Eron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Juan Guipuzkoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bosch FC booed when Newell´s Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Remigio didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Oliviero in the 84th minute of play forced Newell´s Old Boys's goalkeeper Modesto Pirmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
