After a rather tough play, Jazz's Evelio Herauso got a free kick in the 13th minute. Jazz's Rolando Segio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Bilbo in the 16th minute of play. In the 25th minute Angel Bilbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Segio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Defensores de Alberdi fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Defensores de Alberdi's Victorino Paublo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Gomez in the 36th minute of play forced Defensores de Alberdi's goalkeeper Higinio Aureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venancio Gilen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Higinio Aureo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norberto Gomez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Rosio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Rolando Segio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Bilbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Segio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Hegoi in the 57th minute. Isaac Harriet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Venancio Gilen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victorino Paublo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rolando Segio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Segio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victorino Paublo in the 78th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Defensores de Alberdi's Angel Bilbo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Segio. That made the score 1-2 after 86 minutes of play. A collision led to Defensores de Alberdi getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Maximino Cordarell hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jazz's zone, Elias Txatxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Segio came out of the goal and Elias Txatxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Defensores de Alberdi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
