Alicante FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Everardo Mano sped through Godofredo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Evaristo Servando. After having played for 30 minutes, Everardo Mano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alicante FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Mano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alejo Benat to make the kick off. Vinicio Vidals short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Evaristo Servando to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Everardo Mano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Evaristo Servando made a huge save. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Godofredo's Evaristo Servando got control of the ball when Everardo Mano tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Vinicio Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Alicante FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Vidal couldn't finish the play. Celso Paez charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso Paez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Godofredo getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Celso Paez hit a great ball. Aurelio Hug's late challenge caught a Godofredo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Hug helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, Alicante FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Hug to maneuver through the defense. After 97 played minutes, Godofredo's Eusebio Gartzea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gregorio Menendo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Godofredo reached it. Godofredo succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Alicante FC had controlled the match.
