In the 3rd match minute, Lanus F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Umea to maneuver through the defense. Feliberto Izotz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Everardo Mano went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Edgardo Uhin hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Everardo Mano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alicante FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 19th minute, Baldomiro Qwinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes Lanus F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Uhin. Lanus F.C.'s Edgardo Uhin got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gregorio Menendo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Serafin Franco. 39 minutes into the match, Alicante FC's Vinicio Vidal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Feliberto Izotz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Prudencio Gorri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Feliberto Izotz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute Benito Ramone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Izotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Fernando Igon notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Lanus F.C.'s Feliberto Izotz. Feliberto Izotz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgardo Uhin made a kick off. Everardo Mano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Feliberto Izotz came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Alicante FC's Vinicio Vidal. But to his dismay, Vinicio Vidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 61st minute, Everardo Mano made a precise shot to the right of Feliberto Izotz. Lanus F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Alfonso Lia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Feliberto Izotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinicio Vidal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Feliberto Izotz made a huge save. Feliberto Izotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Benito Ramone notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Lanus F.C.'s Feliberto Izotz. Feliberto Izotz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Vinicio Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Alicante FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Vidal couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Everardo Mano got free with Feliberto Izotz in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Feliberto Izotz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Igon in the 90th minute. After 95 played minutes Lanus F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Chap. After recieving a nice pass, Alicante FC's Prudencio Gorri tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Lanus F.C. getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Serafin Franco hit a great ball. Alicante FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
