When Amado Nesto came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Estudiantes De La Plata ! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Nesto couldn't finish the play. Eusebio Gartzea kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Godofredo's Evaristo Servando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Godofredo from getting a goal against them. Clemente Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Benat in the 21st minute of play. Clemente Meder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Paez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alejo Benat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Clemente Meder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bruno Marz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Alejo Benat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Godofredo's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejo Benat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Meder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th match minute, Estudiantes De La Plata ! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Jaizki to maneuver through the defense. Cristobal Burni hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Alejo Benat notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Estudiantes De La Plata !'s Clemente Meder. Clemente Meder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
