The supporters of Lileo booed when Esperanza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Hug didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute of the match Diego Edur sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Oriche skillfully saved the ball. The audience held their breath when Diego Edur in the 36th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Adolfo Oriche's left hand side. Enzo Sandalio hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Sergio Paez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Jayvier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximo Calixto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Paez having to interfere. In the 48th minute Erasmo Jayvier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Paez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

51 minutes into the game, Angelo Frasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esperanza FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lileo the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Jayvier in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergio Paez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Froilan Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alfredo Urtzi's late challenge caught a Lileo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
