In the 7th minute, Gogo Obeko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Utracán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Evelio Sedeni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Firmin having to make a save. Utracán's Raimundo Fernado suffered a sore thigh after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Agustin Remir fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Chelita's protests and gave Agustin Remir a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, La Chelita's Agustin Remir got a free kick in the 18th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Utracán's Cosme Gomez tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Valiente in the 26th minute of play forced Utracán's goalkeeper Benito Urbes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Chelita's Nestor Valiente got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Evelio Sedeni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35thth minute of the game Nestor Valiente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Utracán's Benito Urbes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th match minute, Utracán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Locaio to maneuver through the defense. Elias Oso charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elias Oso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Utracán booed when La Chelita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Oso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Utracán's Gogo Obeko got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aristides Espiridion to make the kick off. Gogo Obeko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Utracán's Benito Urbes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Valiente in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, La Chelita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Confesor to maneuver through the defense. Cosme Gomez, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Aristides Espiridion managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utracán's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristides Espiridion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Firmin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Utracán fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! If Arsenio Cerilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Urbes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Valiente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the game, La Chelita's Nestor Valiente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Urbes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Aristides Espiridion managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utracán's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristides Espiridion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Firmin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nestor Valiente in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Urbes saved Utracán from getting behind. Evelio Sedeni charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evelio Sedeni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes Utracán got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Sedeni. After 91 played minutes, La Chelita's Tiburcio Confesor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Urbes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Chelita reached it. Evelio Sedeni hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. If Arsenio Cerilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Espiridion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Salvador Firmin made a huge save. Tiburcio Confesor hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When Aristides Espiridion came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Utracán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Espiridion couldn't finish the play.
