Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1610, VIP seats: 140) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ubaldo Lluques started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Sanford got a freekick which was hit by Placido Errapel. 7 minutes into the match, Sanford's Placido Errapel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albino Truylos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sanford's Donato Darien quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alonzo Eguntsenti, made in the 9th minute of the game. Ubaldo Lluques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Lluques in the 17th minute of play forced Saturno FC's goalkeeper Albino Truylos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Saturno FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Genaro Stanislao hit a great ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Ubaldo Lluques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Lluques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Igor Donio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Saturno FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Florencio Cedro hit a great ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Ubaldo Lluques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Lluques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ubaldo Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sanford's Placido Errapel got a free kick in the 30th minute. Alonzo Eguntsenti made in the 34th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Genaro Stanislao immediately put the ball in play. Ubaldo Lluques might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albino Truylos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubaldo Lluques ran back to his position shaking his head. When Amancio Iratxo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Sanford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amancio Iratxo couldn't finish the play. Ubaldo Lluques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Truylos having to interfere. If Ubaldo Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 57th minute Igor Donio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Truylos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Saturno FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Obeko to maneuver through the defense. Saturno FC's Albino Truylos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Donio in the 59th minute of play. Sanford's attentive Donato Darien managed to snatch the ball when Alonzo Eguntsenti made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. Placido Errapel hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Alonzo Eguntsenti made in the 70th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Genaro Stanislao however managed to control. In the 72nd minute, Saturno FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ubaldo Lluques fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Isidoro Lizar fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saturno FC's protests and gave Isidoro Lizar a yellow card for diving instead. Sanford made a substitution. Orlando Fraco replaced Baltasar Madaleno. Ubaldo Lluques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ubaldo Lluques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Truylos having to interfere. Ubaldo Lluques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albino Truylos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andres Obeko during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Andres Obeko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sanford's Amancio Iratxo got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Igor Donio struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Albino Truylos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sanford. Ubaldo Lluques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albino Truylos having to make a save. Sanford were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Saturno FC to leave the ground with a draw.
