Spectators: 5820 (Terracing: 4520, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Victor Pepillo made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, InDePeNdIeNtE's Miguel Obano got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Victor Pepillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Frasco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Vicente Rufo struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Rius Rulan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for InDePeNdIeNtE. Jonas Rojelio took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rius Rulan. Rius Rulan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 16th match minute, InDePeNdIeNtE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Obano to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Jonas Rojelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rius Rulan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Rojelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Anacleto Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored InDePeNdIeNtE's protests and gave Anacleto Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute of the match Patricio Viviano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damian Frasco skillfully saved the ball. In the 27th minute, Jonas Rojelio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Chatran FC's Rius Rulan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Rojelio in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, InDePeNdIeNtE's Ivan Paul got a free kick in the 31st minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Rojelio was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Vicente Rufo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. InDePeNdIeNtE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Rufo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rius Rulan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Rojelio in the 59th minute of the match. Hector Ramos hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Chatran FC defense, Jonas Rojelio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rius Rulan. The Chatran FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rius Rulan should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute, Jonas Rojelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Rojelio in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rius Rulan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florentino Mede got free with Damian Frasco in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Damian Frasco came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Chatran FC's Florentino Mede. But to his dismay, Florentino Mede quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Vicente Rufo came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the InDePeNdIeNtE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Rufo couldn't finish the play. InDePeNdIeNtE walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
