Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benito Fe started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Joel Medardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayo Rosarino's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Medardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Rey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joel Medardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maximiliano Beltxe kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. When Joel Medardo came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Rayo Rosarino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Medardo couldn't finish the play. Modesto Txaran's late challenge caught a Rosso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Modesto Txaran helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rosso FC booed when Rayo Rosarino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Txaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Medardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Rey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Rosso FC's Alberto Rey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Medardo in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Teo Baladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 played minutes Rosso FC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Chuan. Osvaldo Chuan's late challenge caught a Rayo Rosarino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Dante Felo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Tirso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Fe, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Fe in the 42nd minute of play forced Rayo Rosarino's goalkeeper Manuel Tirso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Teo Baladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blas Meder kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Medardo was the one to do the kick off. Manuel Tirso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Fe in the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Rayo Rosarino's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Felo came free, but Manuel Tirso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Rayo Rosarino getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Bruno Hegoi hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Dante Felo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rosso FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 65 minutes into the game, Rayo Rosarino's Teo Baladi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Rey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 71 minutes into the match, Joel Medardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alberto Rey, 1-2. Manuel Tirso came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosso FC's Dante Felo. But to his dismay, Dante Felo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. When Dante Felo fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosso FC's protests and gave Dante Felo a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Rosso FC got a freekick which was hit by Dante Felo. Benito Fe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
