Napoleón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Lugo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Napoleón's Paulo Gaitano got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 18 in the game by Eusebio Lugo from a close distance when the talented Manuel Tirso managed to make a qualified save. Rayo Rosarino's players were relieved. 19 minutes into the match, Rayo Rosarino's goalkeeper Manuel Tirso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Rosario. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquin Veto during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27thth minute of the game Eusebio Lugo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rayo Rosarino's Manuel Tirso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute Joel Medardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Tonete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rolando Rosario to make the kick off. Manuel Tirso came out of the goal and Paulo Gaitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Napoleón's Rolando Rosario in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 76th play minutes Rolando Rosario shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Manuel Tirso and just under the crossbar into goal.
