Spectators: 7229 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Everardo Arixo got the match started through his kick off. If Benito Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 played minutes Suriyaco got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Vela. In the 12th minute Everardo Arixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Ler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Santo Licerio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faro's supporters rose to their feet, but Santo Licerio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victorio Ler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Teofilio in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Benito Teofilio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Suriyaco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Pedro Cortez came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Suriyaco's Juan Brion. But to his dismay, Juan Brion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Benito Teofilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Cortez having to interfere. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Faro's goalkeeper Pedro Cortez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benito Teofilio kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Santo Licerio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 40 minutes, Everardo Arixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Faro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Arixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorio Ler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Arixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Benito Teofilio made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Brion got free with Pedro Cortez in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Brion's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Cortez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Benito Teofilio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Everardo Arixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Victorio Ler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Suriyaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Laffitte to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Juan Brion made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Cortez. Faro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Pedro Cortez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Brion in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Suriyaco's zone, Ulises Eneto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Ler came out of the goal and Ulises Eneto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Everardo Arixo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorio Ler was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3.
