Faro's supporters rose to their feet, but Santo Licerio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Peli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6th match minute, Tipiro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Estefan to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th match minute, Tipiro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavino Osasun to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Tipiro AFC's zone, Santo Licerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Peli came out of the goal and Santo Licerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domingos Peli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Licerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When Faro's Everardo Arixo in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tipiro AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 17 minutes into the game, Enrique Raulo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Faro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tipiro AFC the free kick. A collision led to Faro getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Enrique Raulo hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santo Licerio in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingos Peli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the match, Tipiro AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Arixo came free, but Domingos Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santo Licerio might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingos Peli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santo Licerio ran back to his position shaking his head. When Robustiano Chesus fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Faro's protests and gave Robustiano Chesus a yellow card for diving instead. Robustiano Chesus kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Evaristo Etor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Tipiro AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Licerio came free, but Domingos Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Etor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Faro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Diaz to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Faro defense, Ramon Bernard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Cortez. The Faro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Cortez should have stopped the shot. Everardo Arixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Peli having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Ulises Eneto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Bernard in the 86th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Cesar Dubardo had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Robustiano Chesus was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. Ramon Bernard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tipiro AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Faro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
