Pujol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derqui the free kick. A collision led to Pujol getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Arsenio Soter hit a great ball. Eliseo Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Carolo Ezkerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tiburcio Ondino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmiro Ferrer got his second yellow card in the match during the 36th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Delmiro Ferrer kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Derqui's zone, Eliseo Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carolo Ezkerra came out of the goal and Eliseo Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiburcio Ondino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Fabricio Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ivan Eliazar came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Derqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Eliazar couldn't finish the play. Arsenio Soter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Fabricio Quintyn fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Derqui's protests and gave Fabricio Quintyn a yellow card for diving instead. Fabricio Quintyn hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Tiburcio Ondino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Carolo Ezkerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pujol would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
