A hard shot by Oscar Feliu from long distance, 68 minutes into the match, got Angelo Rencio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gualterio Heli's late challenge caught a Chaco For ever's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualterio Heli helped the player get up and apologised. Gualterio Heli kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Gerardo Giraldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gerardo Giraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gualterio Heli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chants of Chaco For ever echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Merced had held the ball for most of the match.
