In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Martin de San Juan's goalkeeper Rafael Abarca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Genaro Inautzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Higinio Gabon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Cordarrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Julio Oliveiro kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Jonas Sotero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Abarca having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in San Martin de San Juan's zone, Genaro Inautzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Abarca came out of the goal and Genaro Inautzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Genaro Inautzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. oveja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Inautzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Cordarrel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. oveja's Higinio Gabon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Cordarrel in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Santo Cordarrel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Genaro Inautzi put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rafael Abarca. Rafael Abarca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Sotero, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The oveja fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when oveja's Genaro Inautzi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rafael Abarca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Higinio Gabon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Cordarrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, oveja's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Cordarrel came free, but Higinio Gabon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Inautzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rafael Abarca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, San Martin de San Juan's Zeledon Petri got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 99th minute, Maximino Onofre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. San Martin de San Juan's Ruben Manny couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 100th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for oveja. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The oveja fans cheered their team off the field, for while San Martin de San Juan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
