With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidio Rodas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olivos's goalkeeper Ovidio Rodas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anacleto Fernado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aguilar's Anacleto Fernado got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Fernado in the 22nd minute of play forced Olivos's goalkeeper Ovidio Rodas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anacleto Fernado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elias Senen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Ovidio Rodas made a huge save. After having played for 69 minutes, Anacleto Fernado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguilar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anacleto Fernado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aguilar were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
