Spectators: 7203 (Terracing: 5404, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ariel Paio kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Paio in the 5th minute of play forced Varices FC's goalkeeper Matias Poz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Varices FC's Matias Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Paio in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gualeguay's Ariel Paio got a free kick in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Enaut in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelio Toribio saved Gualeguay from getting behind. 20 minutes into the game, Melquiades Gaufred was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gualeguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varices FC the free kick. In the 20th minute, Melquiades Gaufred hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lino Lore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24thth minute of the game Igor Enaut who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gualeguay's Aurelio Toribio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aurelio Toribio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Enaut, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Igor Enaut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varices FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Enaut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Varices FC booed when Gualeguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Calvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lino Lore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Ariel Paio came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Gualeguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ariel Paio couldn't finish the play. Ariel Paio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Poz having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Enaut was the one to do the kick off. Varices FC's Matias Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Paio in the 52nd minute of play. Adrian Oier's late challenge caught a Gualeguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Oier helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Varices FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Oier. After a rather tough play, Gualeguay's Ariel Paio got a free kick in the 54th minute. Matias Poz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Paio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lino Lore who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Aurelio Toribio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lino Lore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Aurelio Toribio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Aurelio Toribio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tomas Rosio kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Varices FC's Matias Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Paio in the 73rd minute of play. Matias Poz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Paio in the 74th minute of play. With a little luck, Gualeguay's Aurelio Toribio got control of the ball when Lino Lore tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Isaac Anaya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gualeguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varices FC the free kick. In the 77th match minute, Gualeguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Anaya to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Varices FC's Igor Enaut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Toribio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
