Spectators: 7208 (Terracing: 5408, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) Gualeguay's Ariel Paio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes of play, Bordenave's Miguel Gaur made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Toribio was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Bordenave booed when Gualeguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Vistruario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelio Toribio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleto Eguntsenti, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Ovidio Afonso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Toribio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Aurelio Toribio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Gaur's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Ovidio Afonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bordenave's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidio Afonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bordenave fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Tobias Nel had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Jeronimo Franco's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Miguel Gaur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurelio Toribio having to make a save. If Ovidio Afonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Toribio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Eguntsenti in the 29th minute of play. Ovidio Afonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ovidio Afonso struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Aurelio Toribio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bordenave. 33 minutes into the match, Miguel Gaur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Toribio. Gualeguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Gaur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Ignacio Calvino fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gualeguay's protests and gave Ignacio Calvino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bordenave booed when Gualeguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Calvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Gaur in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Toribio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tobias Nel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Pero in the 43rd minute. After the first half Bordenave were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Miguel Gaur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th match minute, Bordenave was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Cordeal to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Carlos Jaume in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bordenave's Gervasio Cordeal. Thanks to some nice moves Miguel Gaur could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Aurelio Toribio however easily saved by the left post. In the 61stth minute Miguel Gaur got a great chance to score trying to place the ball in the top left corner, but Aurelio Toribio was prepared and efficiently stopped the ball from getting in. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gualeguay! Aurelio Toribio was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Ovidio Afonso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ovidio Afonso really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. In the 69th minute, Miguel Gaur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ovidio Afonso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aurelio Toribio came out and tried to block the shot, but Ovidio Afonso slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 74th minute. After 80 minutes, Miguel Gaur made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Gualeguay's Aurelio Toribio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, Ovidio Afonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute Ariel Paio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Gaur's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Aurelio Toribio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bordenave's Florentino Nerio got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurelio Toribio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Gaur's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. The Gualeguay fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bordenave were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
