In the 39th minute Danilo Nesor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Su saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes C.A. Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Gil. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Edgardo Estebe had several of the Cañete's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 96 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Lorenzo Su as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cañete were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
