Camilo Walme took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eduardo Ler. Saldaña FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eduardo Ler made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Ariel Natal sent off a good shot on target. When Wilfredo Abeita fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saldaña FC's protests and gave Wilfredo Abeita a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Saldaña FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Wilfredo Abeita hit a great ball. Eduardo Ler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Ostargi, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Ruperto Quinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Ariel Natal made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Ler. Saldaña FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Saldaña FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Ler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ariel Maura. Eduardo Ler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Bittor, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Frontera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Quinton came free, but Basilio Cristofor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Saldaña FC booed when Frontera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Papo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Ostargi in the 36th minute of play forced Saldaña FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Ler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Amancio Ostargi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Ler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amancio Ostargi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Eduardo Ler 41 minutes into the match.

Luisito Iratze was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saldaña FC! Eduardo Ler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Natal in the 67th minute of the match. Venancio Bittor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Ler having to interfere. Eduardo Ler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Venancio Bittor's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Eduardo Ler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Maura in the 75th minute of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Ler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eduardo Ler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Papo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andres Gaztea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Cristofor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Eduardo Ler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Papo in the 94th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Frontera FC were the better team. Frontera FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
