Albino Frascuelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Fidensio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albino Frascuelo ran back to his position shaking his head. Armando Fidensio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Frascuelo in the 7th minute of the match. SV Werder Bremen's Armando Fidensio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Bras in the 9th minute of play. Federico Bras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Fidensio having to interfere. When Leonel Abaunza fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Millán FC's protests and gave Leonel Abaunza a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Millán FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SV Werder Bremen:s goal. The goalkeeper, Daniel Ortzi, was totally fooled by SV Werder Bremen's Jimeno Arce, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Albino Frascuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Frascuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Bras struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Armando Fidensio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Millán FC. After a defensive mix-up in SV Werder Bremen's zone, Albino Frascuelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Fidensio came out of the goal and Albino Frascuelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Federico Bras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Millán FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Teofilo Chico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Albino Frascuelo had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 33 minutes, Jimeno Arce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Werder Bremen and the Millán FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jimeno Arce hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Millán FC's goalkeeper Daniel Ortzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Baldovino. Armando Fidensio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Bras in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Teofilo Chico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Werder Bremen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Millán FC the free kick. The supporters of Millán FC booed when SV Werder Bremen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Chico didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Federico Bras made the kick off in the second half. Federico Bras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Norberto Baldovino hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Teofilo Chico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Ortzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. SV Werder Bremen's Arnaldo Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnaldo Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Ortzi having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Roque Llorian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teofilo Chico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Daniel Ortzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Bras in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Fidensio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Gonchan got free with Armando Fidensio in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Teofilo Chico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Ortzi came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by SV Werder Bremen's Arnaldo Fernandes. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Millán FC's zone, Arnaldo Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Ortzi came out of the goal and Arnaldo Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SV Werder Bremen had played much better football throughout.
